This traditional Cantonese roast chicken is marinated in fragrant red fermented bean curd (nam yu), then roasted using a hanging method to achieve crispy, glossy skin and succulent meat. The unique aroma of nam yu blends perfectly with the natural sweetness of the chicken, delivering bold flavors with every bite. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — it’s a classic dish that brings out the best of Cantonese roasted cuisine.

Heating Instructions

  • Oven/Air Fryer: Remove packaging, preheat to 180°C, heat for 12–15 minutes for crispier skin
  • Microwave: Remove packaging, place in a container with cover, and heat for 5–6 minutes (800W)
  • Boil-in-Bag: Heat the sealed pack in hot water over low heat for about 10 minutes

Serving Suggestions

  • Perfect with steamed rice, chicken oil rice, stir-fried vegetables, or as part of a sharing platter for gatherings!
